As of 11 Jan 1996, a number of rounds of judging have narrowed the field
down to 15 entries.
-
Another judging round has been scheduled on 14 Jan 1996 to try and
reduce the field down to the final set.
Things get difficult at this point because we have too many
good entries to give out awards to them all.
-
Much to our regret, some very interesting entries fell out in
early rounds due to the fact that they didn't work!
In one case one entry didn't work on the platform that the
author claimed it was written on.
In another case an entry didn't work on a platform that
had a different byte order.
Other cases is it not clear why things are not broken.
Sorry but due to our work load, we are not
inclined to debug obfuscated code unless an easy
fix is obvious!

The meal prepaired by
Barbara Frezza,
the official IOCCC chef,
on 7 Jan 1996 was considered by the judges to
be one of the best IOCCC dinners ever.
